Vodafone Traveller™
We make it easy to use your Vodafone mobile overseas. We've done this by splitting the world into four price zones. So, when you make Standard Voice Calls overseas and you're on Traveller™, you pay your standard call rate and connection fee plus the Zone Charge per minute for your destination (this is applicable for most plans. See below for further info). To take advantage of these great rates, you will need to opt-in to Vodafone Traveller™ before heading overseas.
If you choose not to opt-in to Vodafone Traveller™, you will be charged according to our Vodafone World™ rates which are higher in most countries of the world.

For all Caps and Plans, the Zone Charge for making and receiving calls is billed in 30 second increments, with a 60 second minimum duration. Calls to 1555 Customer Care will be charged at the Zone Rate per minute only. For business customers, calls to 1555 Customer care is free of charge. Calls to 123 Ask Us Anything and 1223 Directory Assistance are charged at the rate you would pay at home (including the applicable connection fee) according to your Cap or Plan plus the applicable Zone Charge per 30 seconds (min 60 sec duration). PXT are charged at 50c per message plus a charge of 1c per KB (min 10KB session) for the amount of data it takes to send or receive and download the PXT.

Roaming rates exclude GST. The Standard/Applicable call rates are expressed as per minute but charged at the increments as per your plan. If your plan is not included above or you are not sure which plan you are on, call us on 1555 from your mobile.
Vodafone World™.
Vodafone World™ is the default roaming service for Contract customers. You can make and receive calls, use data, use your voicemail and send and receive TXT messages in most countries. In many countries you can also use data based services such as Vodafone Mobile Internet/Broadband, Mobile Email, and Vodafone Central. The Vodafone World™ roaming charges are organised into five zones. Each roaming zone comprises various countries with flat rates per minute across each zone (where available) with one rate for when you are roaming on a Vodafone preferred networks (where available) and one rate for when you are roaming on a non Vodafone networks.
Before leaving, call Customer Care on 1555 from your handset to determine whether Vodafone Traveller or Vodafone World™ will offer the best value in the country you are visiting.

All rates are in Australian dollars and exclude GST. Roaming Rates are subject to change, refer back to this website prior to each overseas trip for the most up to date pricing. The Zone Charge is not covered by any Postpaid cap or plan and will be charged in addition to your Cap or plan. For all Caps and Plans except Unlimited Caps, the standard call rate and the connection fee can be deducted from your monthly included value. For Unlimited Caps, the applicable call rate and the connection fee is charged on top of your Cap. All Vodafone Services, including Vodafone Traveller, are subject to network availability, individual handset capabilities and limitations of overseas networks.
