Vodafone Australia is a telecommunications brand offering mobile and fixed broadband services. Our 4G mobile network covers more than 23 million Australians and our 5G mobile network rollout is underway. Vodafone nbn® fixed broadband services are available in capital cities and selected regional centres.
Vodafone Australia is part of the TPG Telecom Group. As of 31 December 2020, the group had 5.25 million mobile customers and our fixed broadband base was 2.17 million customers.
Our unique consumer and enterprise initiatives include $5 Roaming and no lock-in handset plans for mobile customers, and 4G Back-up for fixed customers.
The Vodafone Australia business employs approximately 1,500 people in our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth offices, contact centre in Hobart and approximately 100 company-owned retail stores throughout Australia.
Our people and partners are the secret to the sustainability of our business.
We want our people to be themselves at work so that they can be at their best every day, which is why we focus on creating an inclusive environment that welcomes diversity, equality and opportunity.
We work in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment and our people bring significant energy to their work, so we believe that we need to invest in each individual to maximise their potential and elevate their performance. We’re a high performance values-based organisation and right from the point of induction, our people are encouraged to understand and behave in a way that is consistent with our business principles.
Our people contribute to our community in amazing ways, whether it’s volunteering on a Passion Day, or supporting the TPG Telecom Foundation.
In 2022, Vodafone Foundation Australia unveiled a new name and strategy.
The Foundation will now be known as the TPG Telecom Foundation to better align with its parent company following the merger of Vodafone Hutchison Australia and TPG in 2020. TPG Telecom is home to a number of leading mobile and internet brands including Vodafone, iiNet, Internode, felix, and TPG.
The Foundation’s purpose is to create opportunities to improve the health, wellbeing and education of Australian communities in need.
The name change comes as the Foundation this year celebrates 20 years of operation since 2002 during which time it has donated more than $26 million to charitable causes and organisations that have used mobile technology to improve the health of Australians.
Check out the TPG Telecom website, for more information about the work of the TPG Telecom Foundation.
While its name has changed, TPG Telecom Foundation will continue to work closely with the other 26 Vodafone Foundations around the world. Check out the Vodafone global website for more information about the Vodafone Foundation.
