Ongoing power outages from the impacts of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred are continuing to cause minor network disruptions in Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW.
Our teams are working with emergency services and power providers to restore connectivity services as soon as it is safe to do so.
We have restored more than 200 sites since the event began, but some isolated power issues continue to disrupt connectivity in some areas.
There is currently a loss of power to 32 mobile sites across Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW.
Our teams have restored connectivity to the vast majority of our network, meaning there is now overlapping mobile coverage across all affected areas. Some customers might experience a reduction in service quality while we continue to restore full network connectivity in affected areas.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience.
Our priority is to help keep our customers and communities connected.
We have taken proactive steps to safeguard the resilience of our network and are ready to provide support where we can.
We’re closely monitoring the situation, and our technicians are already on the ground, prepared to respond to any network disruptions as effectively as possible.
We encourage communities and customers to have a plan to stay connected, which includes having phones charged, saving emergency contact details and knowing evacuation routes.
Staying connected to team members and having access to safety updates is essential during times like this. That’s why we’re offering support to our Small Business customers with up to 20 connections on the same business account in affected areas by providing:
