ADVISORY - DISRUPTION TO SERVICES IN QUEENSLAND
NETWORK SERVICES IMPACTED IN PARTS OF QUEENSLAND
Cyclone Debbie and its aftermath which is causing heavy rain and flooding in Queensland, has affected power supplies affecting network services in some regions.
Vodafone does not currently have a clear picture of the extent or expected duration of these power outages, but advises customers that the power supply problems are currently having an adverse effect on services in several locations in Queensland.
The most impacted areas include: Airlie Beach, Bloomsbury, Bowen, Carmila, Guthalungra, Koumala, Mount Rooper, Strathdickie and Whitsundays.
Where possible, Vodafone has been using helicopters to fly in back-up generators and diesel fuel to network areas that have lost power in an effort to maintain network services.
Vodafone is working with other support organisations and will provide further updates on the situation as details become available.
