Using a modem or tablet, mobile broadband is a wireless connection to the internet via a mobile network. Vodafone uses the same network for mobile phones, tablets and mobile broadband modems.

Yes, if you have a compatible 5G approved modem you’ll be able to access the Vodafone 5G network with our Prepaid Mobile Broadband Plans.

If you're currently on a $20, $60, $70 or $125 Prepaid Mobile Broadband Plan, you can redeem already purchased vouchers via IVR, in store or by calling Customer Care on 1555 from your Vodafone mobile. If you redeem a Prepaid Mobile Broadband voucher of a different value, you’ll no longer be able to return to your previous $20/$60/$70/$125 plan.

Device Discount is a discount off the device RRP and is only available to eligible new and upgrading customers. Device Discounts vary depending on the device (as advertised). $12-$250 Prepaid Mobile Broadband Bonus Data
For personal use only. Offer available to eligible new Vodafone Prepaid customers who purchase and activate either a $2 Sim with a $12-$250 recharge or a $12-$250 Starter Pack and activate on a Mobile Broadband (Data only) plan between 1 April 2025 and 11 August 2025 (‘Promotional Period) and activate by 11 August 2025. $2 SIM with $12-$55 Recharge or $12-$55 Mobile Broadband Starter Pack Offer:
Eligible customers get 1GB bonus data on $12 recharge or Starter Pack for total 10GB data, 70GB bonus data on $35 recharge or Starter Pack for total 105GB data, 100GB bonus data on $45 recharge or Starter Pack for total 150GB data, 130GB bonus data on $55 recharge or Starter Pack for total 195GB data. Bonus data is applied within 72 hours following successful activation and is available on the first 3 recharges within 90 days of activation. Activation counts as the first recharge; the remaining 2 recharges must be completed within 90 days of activation. From the 4th recharge onwards, bonus data will no longer be applied, and your data entitlements will revert to the original Included Data inclusions.

Prepaid Mobile Broadband Starter Pack
 1.  The Prepaid Mobile Broadband SIM Starter Pack (“Starter Pack”) contains a SIM only – no device included. You must have a compatible Vodafone or unlocked device to use the Starter Pack. Must activate within 365 days of purchase. Not for commercial or resale purposes.

2. Data contained in the Starter Packs expires after 7 days for $12 Starter Pack, 30 days for $35, $45 and $55 Starter Packs or 365 days for $160 and $250 Starter Packs. Unused included data will rollover once into your next recharge period (up to 50GB) and will be available for use until the expiry of your current recharge. Any unused rolled over data will be forfeited. Any unused Bonus Data does not will also rollover. For use in Australia only. Usage is calculated in 1kB increments. Pricing subject to change. All offer end dates and recharge times are in Australian Eastern Standard or Daylight time (AEST/AEDT).
