Once implemented, our new regional network will cover 98.4% of the Australian population. You will immediately have access to nearly one million square kilometres of coverage, including 5G in areas where it is already available.
We are aiming to turn the new network on in early 2025. We look forward to providing additional information for customers about the regional network soon.
No. You won’t need to do anything. Our mobile customers will automatically have access to nearly one million square kilometres of coverage, including 5G on compatible devices in areas where it is already available.
Once the regional network is implemented, our mobile customers will immediately have access to areas where 5G is already available and the 5G coverage will continue to grow as more sites are upgraded.
We do not have plans to increase mobile prices because of the regional network arrangement.
