Amazon Prime and your Vodafone bill

Amazon Prime billing is changing

From 15 February 2023 we will be contacting customers to advise that you’ll no longer be able to pay for Amazon Prime through your Vodafone bill. To keep the benefits of Amazon Prime you will need to change your payment method through your Amazon Prime account before your next billing cycle.

 How do I change my payment method with Amazon Prime?

It’s easy and can be done in seconds.

  1. Simply log into your Amazon account www.amazon.com.au/gp/primecentral
  2. Under Manage Membership, click Update, continue and more under the heading.
  3. A message saying your membership is ending will show up. Click Continue your membership the yellow button to continue your membership.
  4. You will then be able to add / edit your payment method to continue your Amazon Prime subscription.
Why am I no longer able to charge my Amazon Prime subscription to my Vodafone bill?

We’re changing the way we partner with Amazon, and the billing functionality to charge Amazon Prime to your Vodafone bill will no longer be available.
When do I need to change the payment method?

You will need to have updated your payment method before your next billing date to keep using your Amazon Prime subscription.
Where can I see my Amazon Prime billing date?

You can see the date your Amazon Prime is charged under the Content section of your Vodafone bill.
What happens if I don’t update my payment method?

Your Amazon Prime membership will end until you update your payment method. This means you won’t have access to Prime features such as free expedited delivery, Amazon Prime Video, and exclusive Prime deals until you update your payment method.
Will my other Vodafone services be impacted by this?

Not at all. This change only applies to the way your Amazon Prime subscription is billed.
What happens after I update my payment method?

Your Amazon Prime subscription will be charged to your new payment method until you choose to update again or cancel.
