Spotify Premium billing is changing

We’re changing the way we partner with Spotify. From 5 November 2021, you’ll no longer be able to pay for Spotify Premium through your Vodafone bill. At the end of your next billing cycle, your Spotify Premium subscription will automatically be changed to Spotify Free. To keep enjoying Spotify Premium features such as ad-free music, offline listening and unlimited skips, you’ll need to update your payment details in your Spotify account on or after the day of your next charge.

 Why am I no longer able to charge my Spotify Premium subscription to my Vodafone bill?

We’re changing the way we partner with Spotify. You will no longer be able to pay for your Spotify Premium subscription through Vodafone.
When do I need to change my payment method for Spotify Premium?

You will need to change your payment method on or after your first charge date after 5 November 2021 to continue using Spotify Premium. 

For example, if the charge date for Spotify Premium on your Vodafone bill is the 15th of every month, your last charge will occur on 15 October 2021 and you will need to update your payment details in your Spotify account on or after 15 November 2021 to continue using Spotify Premium.

You will not able to update your payment method before this date.
How do I change my payment method with Spotify?
  • Log in to your Spotify account.
  • Scroll down to 'Your plan' and under 'Payment', click 'Update' next to your payment method.
  • Enter a new payment method. 
Where can I find out the day of my next charge?

The date of your next charge will be one month after the charge date that appears on your most recent Vodafone bill, under 'Content'.
What happens if I don't update my payment method?

If you don't update your payment method in your Spotify account, your Spotify plan will automatically change to Spotify Free and remain at that level until you do.
What will happen to my playlists?

You can still access all of your playlists, however until you update your payment details you won't have access to Spotify Premium features such as ad-free music, offline listening and unlimited skips.
Will my Vodafone services be impacted by this?

No, this change only applies to your Spotify Premium billing.
What happens after I update my payment method?

Your Spotify Premium subscription will be charged to your new payment method until you choose to update again or cancel.
