Call barring restricts your service from making and receiving calls, or sending and receiving text messages. Your service may be barred for account related reasons, such as an unpaid bill or high unbilled charges.
To remove call barring on your service, use Live Chat 24/7 in the My Vodafone app (for the best experience) or on this page. You can also give us a call on 1300 650 410. If you didn't place the bar yourself, there may be an issue with your account that needs to be sorted out before it can be removed.
If you placed the bar yourself using GSM codes, you can remove all bars by dialling:
# 330 * [YOUR BARRING PIN] #
These are the two types of call barring.
Calls you make won’t connect and you’ll hear a recorded message letting you know call barring is active.
When someone tries to call you, the call won’t connect and the caller will hear a message stating that you have incoming call restrictions.
You can restrict incoming and outgoing calls and text messages on your service by dialling GSM codes on your device. You can also remove any bars you’ve placed on your service and change your barring PIN.
Here are the GSM codes to manage call barring.
If you’re using GSM codes to restrict incoming or outgoing calls, dial ##002# first. This will clear all incoming call diversions, which prevent GSM codes from working.

Call barring restricts your service from making and receiving calls, or sending and receiving text messages. Your service may be barred for account related reasons, such as an unpaid bill or high unbilled charges.
Your barring PIN is a 4 digit number that authorises you to switch barring on or off. If you haven’t changed it, the default barring PIN should be ‘0000’ or ‘1234’.
If you’ve forgotten your barring PIN, give us a call on 1300 650 410.
No. You can’t restrict MMS using GSM codes.
Restricting outgoing text messages using GSM codes won’t restrict outgoing MMS.
