Using international devices on the Vodafone network

Here’s what you should check if you’d like to use an overseas device with our network. Most overseas mobile devices can be used on the Vodafone Australia network. If your existing device can’t be used on our network, check out our mobile phones we have available.

Check your device is compatible on our network.
To provide you with the best possible experience, your modem needs to operate on all our supported network frequencies.

4G (LTE) 700 MHz 850 MHz 1800 MHz 2100 MHz
5G 700 MHz 850 MHz 2600 MHz 2800 MHz

Check your device isn’t network locked.
If your modem is locked to an overseas network, contact the provider about getting it unlocked from their network. We can only unlock devices purchased through Vodafone Australia.

Make sure it is an approved device.
Check out our list of approved standard mobile devices to see if your device can be used with a Vodafone SIM card.
