Throttled (slower) data speeds explained.

If you use all your included monthly data, you can keep using data at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps.

What you can do at 1.5Mbps

At 1.5Mbps, you can check your socials, browse the web and stream music but it is not suitable for HD video.

Here’s a guide to what you can do at 1.5Mbps. However, these are “up to” speeds — so your experience will continually vary depending on many factors such as device capabilities, location, network congestion and network coverage.

Activity Experience at speeds of 1.5Mbps
Web browsing Content may be a little slow to load
Music streaming (e.g. Spotify)  Streaming music is unaffected, some in-app images/artwork may be a little slow to load
Social media (e.g. Facebook) Content may be a little slow to load
Streaming Standard Definition (SD) video Video may be slower to start playing and images/artwork may be slow to load
Streaming High Definition (HD) video Incompatible and most video services will automatically default to SD quality
Downloading apps and files Apps and files may be slow to download
Tethering  Tethering is suitable for single use only. If multiple devices are running together, videos will be restricted to SD, may be slow to load and/or buffer and web pages and content may be slow to load

On Vodafone Infinite Data Plans, you won’t be charged for additional data in Australia when using data at this slower speed.

Heavy data users may experience slower speeds than other users during busy periods.
