Flooding in North Queensland

Communities in North Queensland, stretching from Cairns down to Mackay and out to Etheridge, continue to experience severe flooding that has caused significant damage to homes, power networks, and mobile network sites.

With more heavy rain and potential cyclone activity forecast, residents are advised to stay up to date with the latest warnings from the Bureau of Meteorology and follow the advice of local emergency services.

Federal, state, and local authorities, supported by private and not-for-profit groups, are coordinating resources to restore critical services and offer assistance to those impacted.
