Prepaid Plus is great if you want set inclusions each month.

How to recharge on Prepaid Plus

The best way to recharge on Prepaid Plus is through My Vodafone or Express Recharge. You can access these pages without using your data.

You can also recharge:

  • By sending a text message to 1511 with a relevant code and using your saved credit/debit card or your My Credit balance.
  • By calling 1511 from your Vodafone phone, following the prompts and using your saved credit/debit card.

Our Prepaid Plus recharges and inclusions

My Data and infinite data explained

Once you've used your My Data, Data Bank and all other data, you can then keep using infinite data at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps until your recharge expires.

My Data is the included data in your recharge and is the fastest speed the Vodafone network can deliver to your phone at the time and place you’re using data.

With 1.5Mbps you can stream music and standard definition video, make a video call, browse the internet and catch up on social media but isn’t suitable for HD video. For more information of what you can and can’t do at 1.5Mbps, check out our speed guide.

Tethering permitted to personal devices only, but must not be used in a modem or as a substitute for a home internet service. Heavy data users may experience slower speeds than other users during busy periods. For personal use in Australia only.

Data Rollover

How to roll over your data

With Data Rollover, you can save up to 200GB unused data each time you recharge on an eligible Prepaid Plus plan ($12, $35, $45, $55, $160, $250 and $320) before your recharge expires. Once you’ve reached the 200GB Data Rollover limit, unused data won’t be added to your Data Rollover.

If your eligible Prepaid Plus recharge expires, your unused data won’t be added to your Data Rollover, but any saved data in your Data Rollover will remain and will be available when you recharge or change to an eligible Prepaid Plus plan.

If you recharge on an ineligible plan, you’ll lose any data in your Data Rollover.

How to use data from your Data Rollover

Your eligible Prepaid Plus plan will automatically start using data from your Data Rollover once you’ve used all other data in your recharge. You must have an active recharge to use your Data Rollover. All data is for use in Oz.

What unused data gets rolled over?

The included data that comes with your plan, any Automatic Recharge bonus data, and any other data you may have on your recharge (including data from data add-ons or other bonus data offers) will get rolled over if unused before your next recharge.

How do I roll over my data?

With Data Rollover you can save up to 200GB unused data each time you recharge on a Prepaid Plus Plan before your recharge expires. Once you’ve reached the 200GB Data Rollover limit, unused data won’t be added to your Data Rollover.

If your Prepaid Plus recharge expires, your unused data won’t be added to your Data Rollover, but any saved data in your Data Rollover will remain and will be available when you recharge on an eligible plan.

If you recharge on an ineligible plan, you’ll lose any data in your Data Rollover. If you’re currently on an eligible Combo Plus Plan and recharge on a Prepaid Plus Plan, any saved data in your Data Rollover will remain.

Here are the included standard international minutes for Prepaid Plus. If you want to call a destination that’s not one of our selected destinations or if you exhaust your included minutes, you’ll need My Credit and you’ll be charged at our prepaid international call rates.

Calls from Australia to International Talk Zone 1 destinations.

Our $35, $45 and $55 Prepaid Plus recharges come with standard international minutes from Australia to Zone 1 destinations. These destinations are Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Spain Canary Islands, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, the United States of America and the Vatican (Holy See).

You get 500 minutes on our $35 Prepaid Plus and unlimited minutes on our $45 and $55 Prepaid Plus.

Calls from Australia to International Talk Zone 2 destinations.

Our $45 and $55 Prepaid Plus recharges also come with standard international minutes from Australia to Zone 2 destinations. You get 100 minutes on our $45 Prepaid Plus and 200 minutes on our $55 Prepaid Plus.

How are SMS/MMS messages charged?

You have unlimited standard national SMS and MMS.

With Prepaid Plus, you have 50 standard international SMS.

Can I access international roaming on Prepaid Plus?

If you want to use your prepaid phone overseas, you can get a Prepaid Roaming Add-on through My Vodafone or access our Pay and Go Roaming rates with My Credit.

Automatic Recharge

You can save your credit or debit card to opt-in for Automatic Recharge. By saving your card, you authorise Vodafone to use these details to perform an Automatic Recharge on your prepaid plan's expiry date. The plan you will be Auto Recharged on will be the same plan as your most recent recharge, and you can opt-out at any time.

Prepaid Plus
Not for commercial or resale purposes. For $12 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 7 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. For $35, $45 and $55 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 28 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. For $160 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 185 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. For $250 and $320 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 365 day or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. All offer end dates, and recharge times are in Australian Eastern Standard or Daylight time (AEST/AEDT).

Prepaid Infinite data
All data for use in Australia within the Vodafone Network coverage area. Your included data and any data saved in your Data Rollover data will be used first and this is data at the fastest speed the Vodafone network can deliver to you, depending on your device and the time and place you are using data; thereafter, data is available at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps until your recharge expires. Tethering is permitted to personal devices only, but must not be used in a modem or as a substitute for a home internet service. Heavy data users may experience slower speeds than other users during busy periods.

At 1.5Mbps, you can check your socials, browse the web and stream music but is not suitable for HD video. For more information see our Speed Guide.

Included Standard International Minutes to Selected Destinations
Excludes premium services, special and overseas free phone numbers and video calls. Calls charged in per minute increments Standard Voice Calls to selected list of destinations. Destinations may change from time to time, see international calls page for a list of current destinations. Fair Use Policy applies. My Credit, if you have any, will be used for minutes of standard voice calls to selected destinations once included allocation is exhausted and for calls to any destinations not included in the selected destinations list or otherwise included in your recharge.

Standard International SMS
One SMS is 160 characters long.

Included Data Prepaid
Data for use in Australia only. Once data inclusion is used, you will need to purchase a data pack or recharge to continue using data.

Data Rollover
Eligible plans are Prepaid Plus plans. You can save up to a maximum 200GB of unused data balance when you recharge on an eligible plan before expiry. You will forfeit any unused data balance if you do not recharge before expiry.

You will forfeit any unused data balance that will exceed the 200GB limit of Data Rollover when saving any unused data.

You will lose your Data Rollover balance if you recharge on an ineligible plan, you do not recharge within 90 days of your last expiry date or your service is disconnected or deactivated for any reason. If you move to any plan or offer with a smaller Data Rollover limit, you will lose data in your Data Rollover that is over that limit.

Your eligible plan will automatically start using your Data Rollover balance when you have used up all the data balances on your plan within expiry.

Data Rollover balance cannot be used when your recharge has expired.
