Account PIN

This support article will give you key information about changing your account PIN. You may be asked for your PIN to verify your identity.

How to change your account PIN

If you don’t know your account PIN, use Live Chat 24/7 in the My Vodafone app (for the best experience) or on this page. Alternatively, you can call us on 1555 from your Vodafone phone or 1300 650 410 from another phone.

You can also change your PIN:

  • By heading to your nearest Vodafone store with ID.
  • By calling +61 426 320 000 from overseas.

How to set up multiple account PINs

If you have multiple services on your account, you can create a different account PIN for each service to restrict access for certain users. To set up multiple account PINs on your account, call 1555 or 1300 650 410.

These are the different types of account PINs you can set up.

Installed asset PIN
Quoting this PIN allows you to access information and make changes to one specific service only, including usage details and voicemail settings.

Billing account PIN
Quoting this PIN gives you the same access as the installed asset PIN, plus information relating to the billing account, including payment details.

Customer account PIN
Quoting this PIN grants access to all of the information held about the account. Certain transactions can be performed using this PIN by the account holder only

Can I have a different account PIN for each service on my account?

Yes. If there's more than one service on the account, each can have a different account PIN with limited account access. Quoting this PIN will allow you to make enquiries and changes on the specific service only. For example, you will be able to change voicemail diversions, but you will be restricted from accessing billing or account details.

Why do I need to verify my account PIN in My Vodafone?

On My Vodafone, your 4 digit account PIN is used as a secondary security measure. There are two main reasons you'll be asked for it:

To access details on multi-service accounts.
If you've got more than one service on your account, you'll be asked to enter your account PIN to view any information that relates to the account broadly or the other services on it.

This allows the user of each service to access details about their service, while protecting other account details such as your payment information or the usage details for other services on the account.

To confirm you're authorised to make the change.
There are some My Vodafone options that can only be accessed by the account holder. This includes things like plan changes and connecting Add-ons.
